Welcome Home Card
Well my dad has been in the hospital for almost a week and a half down in Fontana, California, and the doctors say that he might just be able to come home tomorrow. So I made him a welcome home card and taped it onto a plain white gift bag (I got him a fathers day gift but he wasn't here for fathers day so i'm giving it to him as a welcome home gift).
The Dianthus Field
I know I've been lagging behind lately on here, but the weather has been really nice!! So that's my excuse. Anyways I wanted to show you our dianthus field in bloom because it's just so pretty.
Can you believe I took these pictures with my camera phone!
I took this with the Accent Red feature on my camera
This is the same flower as above, I love all the different flowers on the one head.

Home Made Pecan Maple Ice-Cream
Well yesterday I told you i'd share my experience on making ice cream for the first time. So....here it goes. On friday (day before my birthday) I went crazy in the kitchen I made home made ice cream and I also made myself a pre-birthday birthday cake (previous post) and then decided to make it a pre-birthday birthday party and invited my mom and brother over and so I made some meatloaf too. Anyways when I went to make ice cream I found this recipe online for pecan maple ice-cream but I didn't know if it would would for my ice-cream machine so I found this recipe that my ice-cream machine came with for vanilla ice cream, well i'm not known for following recipes well so I kinda "blended" the two recipes together my way and the end result was awesome everyone loved my ice-cream, and for my first time ever making it I was proud of myself.

Mini Father’s Day Card
Well I’ve been making cards left and right it seems like but none for father’s day. Not that I don’t love my dad or anything, I just don’t know how to make cute manly cards, if that makes any sense. So I went way out of my comfort zone for this one. Anyways, I made this mini card for my father-in-law.

Love Card
Well today I was cleaning like crazy and when I finally got done I decided to make a valentine-like card. I don't particularly like the end result just because the only paper that I had that was somewhat what I wanted was this really cheap thin scrapbooking paper and I had used a new type of glue that I didn't like and my writing sucked. Anyways my husband liked it so here it is.

Happy Birthday Card
We had such a beautiful weekend, sunshiny and warm. Unfortunately today is not so great, it's still kinda warm, and sunshiny but really windy. I don't like the wind. So instead of doing stuff outside I decided to make a card with the new ribbon I bought this weekend so I was excited to use it. I hope you like it.

Best Ever Blueberry Muffins!
Ok well today I decided to make muffins today instead of making a card, and I had promised my husband that I would make him some about a week ago! So I tried out a new recipe that I found in one of the many cookbooks that I own. I figured I should use my frozen blueberries before I forgot about them and found them a year later. So I used The Best Blueberry Muffins recipe from the Muffins cookbook by Elizabeth Alston; it was published in 1985. Anyways, here is a picture of how they looked when I took them all out of the oven. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
So here's the recipe:
1/2 cup(1 stick) butter, at room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar, or slightly less depending on tartness of blueberries
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups blueberries (mash 1/2 cup with a fork)
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon sugar mixed with 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease 12 regular muffin cups, including the area between each cup, or use foil baking cups.
In a medium-size bowl, beat butter until creamy. Beat in the sugar until pale and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Beat in vanilla, baking powder, and salt.
Mix mashed berries into batter.
Fold in half of the flour with a spatula, then half the milk. Add remaining flour and milk. Fold in remaining blueberries. Scoop batter into muffin cups. Sprinkle with nutmeg sugar. Bake 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Let muffins cool at least 30 minuets in the pan before removing.

Pink Flower Card
Well I had some down time again today and whipped up another card, I wanted something girly but that I could still use for any occasion that came up. So this is what I came up with. I hope you like it.
Simply Simple Card
Well earlier today I got bored and decided to make a card that I figured could easily be used for different occasions like birthdays, get wells, thank yous, etc. you get the point. And this is what I came up with.
I cut brown paper down to 3 1/2 x 5 inches and cut my patterned paper the same size and glued them onto my blank card. I then cut some light purple paper 1 x 5 inches and then used the doily patterned punch by Martha Stewart to do the edges. After I glued the purple paper on I then cut my ribbon to fit on the card and glued it on, then attached my bow where I wanted it with some small adhesive foam squares.

Fourth of July Card
Well, I was looking on-line for inspiration for a Fourth of July card and I came accross several I liked but I ended up making this.
I can' t remember were I saw my inspiration card but if any of you come accross it please let me know so that I can give them credit for it. Anyways It was quite simple to make, I cut some blue paper so that it would fit on the blank card and I glued it on, then I cut two different size stars on my Pazzle on both the red and white paper. Then I cut 2 1/2 inch strips out of the red cardstock and 1 1/2 inch strips out of the white cardstock and glued them onto the blue, and then wrote celebrate with a silver pen and glued the stars on. When I looked at it it looked like it needed something to "finish" it so I found some glitter glue that I had and outlined the red stars with it. I hope you like it!
